Target Background
Function
This antibody targets ACX2, an enzyme that catalyzes the desaturation of long-chain acyl-CoAs to 2-trans-enoyl-CoAs. ACX2 exhibits activity on substrates longer than C14, with a preference for C18-CoA. Notably, the enzyme demonstrates double the activity on long-chain monounsaturated substrates compared to their corresponding saturated counterparts.
