Function
ASB9, a substrate-recognition component, plays a crucial role in the SCF-like ECS (Elongin-Cullin-SOCS-box protein) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. This complex mediates the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. Specifically, ASB9 recognizes at least two forms of creatine kinase, CKB and CKMT1A, thereby regulating their activity and stability.
