Description

Overview

ASK1 (MAP3K5) is a serine/threonine kinase involved in apoptosis and stress responses. The ASK1 monoclonal antibody (Clone K52022_9A7) targets residues within its kinase domain and is used in research applications .

Clinical Relevance

Anti-AK5 antibodies are biomarkers for autoimmune limbic encephalitis (LE), characterized by hippocampal inflammation and cognitive deficits .

Target Background

Function
ASK5 Antibody plays a crucial role in the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. It forms a SCF E3 ubiquitin ligase complex in conjunction with CUL1, RBX1, and an F-box protein. The specificity of this complex is determined by the specific F-box protein present. Within the SCF complex, ASK5 functions as an adapter, connecting the F-box protein to CUL1.
