Description

Definition and Target

CAPRIN2 (Caprin Family Member 2) is a 1127-amino-acid protein involved in Wnt/β-catenin signaling, cell cycle regulation, and RNA granule formation . The FITC-conjugated antibody targets specific epitopes (e.g., residues 101–200 or 83–100) within this protein, enabling fluorescent detection in assays like immunofluorescence (IF) or immunohistochemistry (IHC) .

Target Background

Function
CAPRIN2 antibody promotes phosphorylation of the Wnt coreceptor LRP6, resulting in increased activity of the canonical Wnt signaling pathway. It facilitates constitutive LRP6 phosphorylation by CDK14/CCNY during the G2/M stage of the cell cycle, potentially enhancing cellular responsiveness to Wnt signaling. Additionally, CAPRIN2 may regulate mRNA transport and translation, influencing the expression of proteins involved in synaptic plasticity in neurons. It plays a role in regulating growth as erythroblasts transition from a highly proliferative state to their terminal differentiation phase. CAPRIN2 may also be involved in apoptosis.
