Function
CCL19 plays a crucial role in immune responses, including inflammation, lymphocyte recirculation, and homing. It facilitates the trafficking of T-cells within the thymus and the migration of both T-cells and B-cells to secondary lymphoid organs. This chemokine binds to the chemokine receptor CCR7, exhibiting potent chemotactic activity towards T-cells and B-cells, but not granulocytes or monocytes. Additionally, CCL19 interacts with the atypical chemokine receptor ACKR4, mediating the recruitment of beta-arrestin (ARRB1/2) to ACKR4.
