Target Background

Function
CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein delta (CEBPD) is a transcription activator that binds to two distinct DNA motifs: the CCAAT homology found in numerous promoters and the enhanced core homology common to many enhancers. It plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression, particularly those involved in immune and inflammatory responses. CEBPD functions as a transcriptional activator, enhancing interleukin-6 (IL-6) transcription both independently and as a heterodimer with C/EBPβ.
