Function
CSFL1 Antibody catalyzes both beta-1,3 and beta-1,4 glycosidic linkages on beta-D-glucan. This enzyme is essential for the synthesis of (1,3;1,4)-beta-D-glucans in grasses and cereals (Poaceae). These mixed-linked glucans, not found in the cell walls of dicotyledonous plants or most other monocotyledonous plants, are crucial components of the starchy endosperm and aleurone cell walls in cereal grains such as oats, wheat, rice, and barley. They can constitute up to 70% of the wall's weight.
