Function
EPS15L1 is a constitutive component of clathrin-coated pits, playing a critical role in receptor-mediated endocytosis. It is involved in the internalization of integrin beta-1 (ITGB1) and transferrin receptor (TFR). While EPS15L1 facilitates the endocytosis of ITGB1 as DAB2-dependent cargo, its involvement in TFR internalization appears to require association with DAB2.
