FZD7 (Frizzled 7) is a Wnt receptor frequently overexpressed in cancers, including breast, ovarian, and colorectal cancers. Anti-FZD7 antibodies aim to block Wnt signaling, inhibit tumor growth, and induce apoptosis.
FRO7 is a ferric chelate reductase that participates in the mobilization of iron from the cytosol into the chloroplast. It may facilitate the transport of electrons to a Fe(3+) ion via FAD and heme intermediates. FRO7 could also play a role in iron homeostasis in trichomes.
Gene References Into Functions
FRO7 is essential for chloroplast iron acquisition and is required for efficient photosynthesis in young seedlings and for survival under iron-limiting conditions. PMID: 18647837
