Function
The γ-tubulin complex is essential for microtubule nucleation at microtubule organizing centers (MTOCs). It plays a critical role in positioning the γ-tubulin complex onto pre-existing microtubules and ensuring the proper organization of cortical microtubule arrays.

Colocalizes with gamma-tubulin at the nuclear surface where microtubules are nucleated.
