HSFA3 is a transcriptional activator that specifically binds to the heat shock promoter element (HSE) DNA sequence, 5'-AGAAnnTTCT-3'. It plays a crucial role in the cellular response to heat stress. Its activity is upregulated by DREB2A under heat stress conditions.
