Function
IF3-2 Antibody targets a chloroplast translation initiation factor crucial for the coordinated development of leaves and chloroplasts. IF3-2 binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, shifting the equilibrium between 70S ribosomes and their 50S and 30S subunits in favor of free subunits. This enhancement in the availability of 30S subunits facilitates the initiation of protein synthesis.
