ILDR2 may play a role in lipid homeostasis and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress pathways.
Gene References Into Functions
Research has shown that ZNF70 interacts with ZFP64 and activates HES1 transcription by binding to the HES1 promoter. Additionally, HES1 gene expression is elevated in ILDR2-knockdown HepG2 cells, where ZNF70 translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus. This suggests that ZNF70's movement to the nucleus, after disassociating from the ILDR2-ZNF70 complex, activates HES1 transcription. These findings support a novel connection between ZNF70 and HES1 transcription, potentially involving ILDR2. PMID: 27353377
