Function
KCS20 Antibody mediates the synthesis of very long chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) with carbon chain lengths ranging from 22 to 26 (e.g., C22, C24, C26). This enzyme is functionally redundant with KCS2 in the two-carbon elongation of C22 fatty acids, which is essential for the biosynthesis of cuticular wax and root suberin.
