Function
LAT-1 plays a crucial role in establishing anterior-posterior polarity during embryonic development. It is essential for the proper alignment of mitotic spindles and division planes. Additionally, LAT-1 may be involved in cell death processes. Its function is also critical for normal oocyte fertilization and sperm function. Furthermore, it participates in pharyngeal pumping during feeding.
