Function
LRX1 antibody is a reagent that targets the LRX1 protein. LRX1 plays a critical role in cell morphogenesis by regulating cell wall formation and assembly, and/or growth polarization. In conjunction with LRX2, LRX1 is a component of the extracellular mechanism regulating root hair morphogenesis and elongation.

- Research demonstrates that modified LRX1 proteins lacking tyrosine in the extensin domain remain insolubilized in the cell wall. This observation suggests strong interactions of extensins within the cell wall, supplementing the well-established tyrosine cross-links. PMID: 20545889
- ROL5 suppresses LRX1 expression. Interference with TOR signaling leads to the suppression of lrx1. PMID: 20530756
- Studies have shown that the Arabidopsis root hair cell wall formation mutant of LRX1 is suppressed by mutations in the RHM1 gene, which encodes a UDP-L-rhamnose synthase. PMID: 16766693
