Function
MIP1A is a developmental regulator that functions by forming heterodimeric complexes which sequester CONSTANS (CO) and CO-like (COL) proteins, rendering them inactive. It participates in a tripartite complex involving CO and the transcriptional repressor TOPLESS (TPL). MIP1A is implicated in the CO-mediated pathway promoting flowering under long-day conditions.
