Function
This antibody targets MSH3, a key component of the post-replicative DNA mismatch repair system (MMR). MSH3 forms the MutS beta heterodimer (MSH2-MSH3) that binds to DNA mismatches, initiating DNA repair. MutS beta specifically recognizes single base mismatches and trinucleotide insertion-deletion loops (IDLs) within the DNA sequence.
