Function
MSI5 is a core histone-binding subunit. It may target chromatin assembly factors, chromatin remodeling factors, and histone deacetylases to their histone substrates. This targeting is regulated by nucleosomal DNA. MSI5 works in conjunction with PDP1 and MSI4/FVE to modulate the PRC2 complex's function on FLC.
