Function
NDUFB9 is an accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), believed to not participate in catalysis. Complex I plays a crucial role in transferring electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. Ubiquinone is considered the immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme.
