Target Background
Function
This antibody targets the core subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I). This subunit is believed to be essential for the minimal assembly required for catalysis. Complex I plays a crucial role in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is thought to be ubiquinone.
