Function
The HIM-10 antibody targets a component of the essential kinetochore-associated NDC80 complex. This complex is crucial for chromosome segregation during both mitosis and meiosis, and is also involved in spindle checkpoint activity. The NDC80 complex works synergistically with the SKA-1 complex to enhance microtubule affinity, potentially enabling the NDC80 complex to track depolymerizing microtubules.
