Function
UNC-11 antibody is a protein that functions in recruiting clathrin and adaptor protein complex 2 (AP2) to cell membranes. This process is essential for the formation of coated pits and clathrin-vesicle assembly. UNC-11 may play a crucial role in regulating the amount of membrane recycled by controlling the size of the clathrin cage. It is also involved in AP2-dependent clathrin-mediated endocytosis at the neuromuscular junction. Furthermore, UNC-11 is essential for the efficient targeting of the synaptic vesicle protein synaptobrevin.
