Function
PLR3 is a probable reductase enzyme that may participate in the reduction of lariciresinol to secoisolariciresinol. Notably, in most plant species, a single enzyme effectively reduces both pinoresinol and lariciresinol. However, in Arabidopsis, PRR1 and PRR2 exhibit a strict substrate selectivity towards pinoresinol.
