Function
The pph-6 antibody targets the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 6 (PP6). In conjunction with SAPS-1, it promotes actomyosin contractility during cytokinesis by regulating the organization of cortical non-muscle myosin II (nmy-2), thus ensuring accurate spindle positioning. Furthermore, pph-6 is essential for generating the forces required to pull spindle poles during anaphase, achieved by regulating the cortical localization of GPR-1, GPR-2, and LIN-5.
