Target Background

Function
DYW1 antibody plays a crucial role in single RNA editing events within chloroplasts. It acts as a site-recognition transacting factor involved in the editing of the ndhD-1 site (corresponding to cytidine-2), which is a plastid-encoded subunit of the NADH-plastoquinone oxidoreductase. The interaction of DYW1 with CRR4 is essential for its function in editing the ndhD-1 site.
Gene References Into Functions
  1. The DYW domain of DYW1 exhibits features resembling cytidine deaminases, further supporting the hypothesis that this domain constitutes a portion of the active enzyme responsible for RNA editing in plants. PMID: 25041347
