Description

Sorafenib is a small molecule drug that was initially developed as a kinase inhibitor for the treatment of cancer. It was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2005 for the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and later for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Sorafenib has also been investigated for the treatment of other types of cancer, such as thyroid cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and melanoma. In addition, sorafenib has been studied for its potential use in environmental and industrial research.
