Function
This antibody targets a non-catalytic component of the proteasome, a multicatalytic proteinase complex. The proteasome is characterized by its ability to cleave peptides with arginine, phenylalanine, tyrosine, leucine, and glutamate residues adjacent to the scissile bond at neutral or slightly alkaline pH. Its proteolytic activity is ATP-dependent.
