Function
RAD23 Antibody is a protein that plays a role in nucleotide excision repair. It binds and selects ubiquitin-conjugates for degradation. RAD23 exhibits a preference for multiubiquitin chains over single ubiquitins, with a strong affinity for 'Lys-48'-linked ubiquitin chains. This antibody acts as a ubiquitin receptor that interacts with the 26S proteasomal docking subunit RPN10, facilitating the indirect recognition of ubiquitinated substrates involved in ubiquitin/26S proteasome-mediated proteolysis (UPP).
