Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to collect the contents. Reconstitute the protein in sterile, deionized water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. For long-term storage, we recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting at -20°C/-80°C. Our standard glycerol concentration is 50%, offered as a guideline.
Shelf Life
Shelf life depends on storage conditions, buffer composition, temperature, and protein stability. Generally, liquid formulations have a 6-month shelf life at -20°C/-80°C; lyophilized formulations have a 12-month shelf life at -20°C/-80°C.

Target Background

Function

F1F0 ATP synthase synthesizes ATP from ADP using a proton or sodium gradient. This enzyme comprises two domains: the extramembranous catalytic F1 domain and the membrane-bound proton channel F0 domain, connected by a central and peripheral stalk. ATP synthesis in the F1 catalytic domain is coupled to proton translocation through a rotary mechanism involving the central stalk subunits. The b' subunit is a divergent, duplicated form of the b subunit, found in plants and photosynthetic bacteria, forming part of the peripheral stalk, linking F1 and F0.
