Target Background

Function
Growth-regulated alpha protein (CXCL1) is a chemokine that exhibits chemotactic activity for neutrophils. It contributes to neutrophil activation during inflammatory responses. As a hematoregulatory chemokine, CXCL1 has been shown to suppress hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation in vitro. A truncated form, KC(5-72), exhibits significantly enhanced hematopoietic activity.
