Product Specs

Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: While we prioritize shipping the format currently in stock, we are happy to accommodate specific format requests. Please indicate your preferred format in the order notes, and we will do our best to fulfill your requirement.
Lead Time
Delivery time may vary depending on the purchasing method and location. Please contact your local distributor for specific delivery details.
Note: All of our proteins are shipped with standard blue ice packs. If you require dry ice shipping, please inform us in advance, as additional fees may apply.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. For optimal results, store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
We recommend centrifuging the vial briefly before opening to ensure the contents are settled at the bottom. Reconstitute the protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. For long-term storage, we recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting the solution for storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final glycerol concentration is 50% and can be used as a reference.
Shelf Life
The shelf life of our products is influenced by various factors, including storage conditions, buffer composition, temperature, and the intrinsic stability of the protein itself.
Generally, liquid formulations have a shelf life of 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Lyophilized formulations typically have a shelf life of 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Upon receipt, store at -20°C/-80°C. Aliquoting is recommended for multiple uses. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Tag Info
The tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
We typically determine the tag type during production. If you have a specific tag preference, please inform us, and we will prioritize its inclusion during development.

Target Background

Function
Photosystem II (PSII) is a light-driven water:plastoquinone oxidoreductase that utilizes light energy to extract electrons from H(2)O, generating O(2) and a proton gradient, which is subsequently used for ATP formation. It comprises a core antenna complex responsible for capturing photons and an electron transfer chain that converts photonic excitation into charge separation. The D1/D2 (PsbA/PsbA) reaction center heterodimer binds P680, the primary electron donor of PSII, along with several subsequent electron acceptors.
Protein Families
Reaction center PufL/M/PsbA/D family
Subcellular Location
Plastid, chloroplast thylakoid membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
