Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. For optimal results, store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
We recommend centrifuging the vial briefly before opening to ensure the contents settle at the bottom. Reconstitute the protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration between 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. We suggest adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%, which can be used as a reference.

Photosystem II (PSII) is a light-driven water:plastoquinone oxidoreductase that harnesses light energy to extract electrons from H(2)O, generating O(2) and a proton gradient, subsequently used for ATP formation. It comprises a core antenna complex responsible for photon capture and an electron transfer chain converting photonic excitation into charge separation. The D1/D2 (PsbA/PsbA) reaction center heterodimer binds P680, the primary electron donor of PSII, along with several subsequent electron acceptors.
