Note: While we prioritize shipping the format currently in stock, please specify your format preference in order notes for customized preparation.
Lead Time
Delivery times vary depending on the purchasing method and location. Consult your local distributor for precise delivery estimates.
Note: Standard shipping includes blue ice packs. Dry ice shipping requires advance notice and incurs additional charges.
Notes
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to settle the contents. Reconstitute the protein in sterile, deionized water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. For long-term storage, we recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting at -20°C/-80°C. Our default glycerol concentration is 50%, provided as a guideline for customers.
Shelf Life
Shelf life depends on various factors including storage conditions, buffer composition, temperature, and protein stability. Generally, liquid formulations have a 6-month shelf life at -20°C/-80°C, while lyophilized formulations have a 12-month shelf life at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Upon receipt, store at -20°C/-80°C. Aliquoting is recommended for multiple uses. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Background

Function
Pseudomonas syringae pv. syringae 30S ribosomal protein S12 (rpsL) plays a crucial role in translational accuracy, particularly in conjunction with proteins S4 and S5. It interacts with and stabilizes bases of the 16S rRNA involved in tRNA selection at the A site and with the mRNA backbone. Located at the interface of the 30S and 50S ribosomal subunits, it traverses the 30S subunit, contacting proteins on the opposite side and likely maintaining rRNA structural integrity. Proteins S8, S12, and S17 collectively appear to stabilize the shoulder and platform regions of the 30S subunit.
