Lead Time
Delivery time may vary based on the purchase method and location. For specific delivery timeframes, please consult your local distributor.
Note: All our proteins are shipped with standard blue ice packs. If dry ice shipping is required, please communicate this with us in advance as additional fees will apply.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. For optimal results, store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
We recommend centrifuging the vial briefly prior to opening to ensure the contents settle at the bottom. Reconstitute the protein in deionized sterile water to a final concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. To enhance long-term storage, we recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquotting for storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final glycerol concentration is 50%, which can be used as a reference.
Shelf Life
The shelf life depends on several factors, including storage conditions, buffer components, temperature, and the protein's inherent stability. Generally, the shelf life of liquid forms is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Lyophilized forms have a shelf life of 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Upon receipt, store at -20°C/-80°C. Aliquotting is necessary for multiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Background

Function
This protein is a high-affinity receptor that binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulin epsilon. Aggregation of FCER1 by multivalent antigens is essential for the complete mast cell response, encompassing the release of preformed mediators (such as histamine) through degranulation and the de novo production of lipid mediators and cytokines. It also mediates the secretion of critical lymphokines. When an allergen binds to receptor-bound IgE, it triggers cell activation and the release of mediators that contribute to the manifestations of allergy.
Gene References Into Functions
  1. Chemotaxis towards antigen in mast cells is regulated by a cross-talk among FcepsilonRI, tetraspanin CD9, transmembrane adaptor proteins NTAL and LAT, and cytoskeleton-regulatory proteins of the ERM family PMID: 23443658
  2. A crucial step in the initiation of Fc epsilon RI signaling during mast cell secretion is the constitutive interaction between the unique domain of Fc epsilon RI beta subunit and Lyn kinase PMID: 16177098
  3. This protein is involved in the analysis of molecular dynamics associated with IgE receptor cross-linking in mast cells PMID: 17040981
  4. PLSCR1 is a novel amplifier of FcepsilonRI signaling that specifically acts on the Lyn-initiated LAT/phospholipase Cgamma1/calcium axis, resulting in the enhancement of a specific set of mast cell responses PMID: 18579528
