Lead Time
Delivery time may vary depending on your location and purchasing method. Please consult your local distributor for specific delivery details.
Note: All proteins are shipped with standard blue ice packs unless otherwise requested. For dry ice shipping, please communicate with us in advance as additional fees will apply.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. We recommend storing working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
For optimal reconstitution, we suggest centrifuging the vial briefly prior to opening to collect the contents at the bottom. Reconstitute the protein in deionized sterile water to a final concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. We recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our standard glycerol concentration is 50%, which can serve as a reference for your own preparation.
Shelf Life
Shelf life is dependent on several factors including storage conditions, buffer components, temperature, and the protein's inherent stability.
Generally, the shelf life for liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Lyophilized form typically has a shelf life of 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Upon receipt, store at -20°C/-80°C. For multiple use, aliquoting is recommended. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The specific tag type is determined during production. If you have a specific tag type requirement, please inform us, and we will prioritize fulfilling your request.

Target Background

Gene References Into Functions
  1. In the absence of the primary iron transporters Mrs3 and Mrs4, Rim2 carrier can facilitate iron transport into the mitochondrial matrix in a pyrimidine-nucleotide-dependent manner. PMID: 23800229
  2. Rim2 functions as a pyrimidine exchanger with an additional unique role in promoting mitochondrial iron utilization. PMID: 21777202
  3. Rim2p has been identified as a yeast mitochondrial pyrimidine nucleotide transporter. PMID: 16194150
