Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to collect the contents. Reconstitute the protein in sterile, deionized water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. We recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our standard glycerol concentration is 50% and may serve as a guideline for your own protocols.

Target Background

Function

F1F0 ATP synthase synthesizes ATP from ADP in the presence of a proton or sodium gradient. F-type ATPases comprise two domains: F1, the extramembrane catalytic core, and F0, the membrane proton channel. These domains are linked by a central stalk and a peripheral stalk. ATP synthesis in the F1 catalytic domain is coupled, via a rotary mechanism of the central stalk subunits, to proton translocation. This protein is a component of the F0 channel, forming part of the peripheral stalk and linking F1 to F0.
