Product Specs

Form
Lyophilized powder. We will ship the available format, but please specify any format requirements when ordering, and we will accommodate your request.
Lead Time
Delivery times vary by purchase method and location. Please contact your local distributor for specific delivery times. All proteins are shipped with blue ice packs by default. Contact us in advance for dry ice shipment (extra fees apply).
Notes
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute the protein in sterile deionized water to 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Add 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final glycerol concentration is 50%.
Shelf Life
Shelf life depends on storage conditions, buffer components, temperature, and protein stability. Liquid form: 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Lyophilized form: 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt. Aliquot for multiple uses. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Tag Info
The tag type is determined during manufacturing. If you require a specific tag, please inform us, and we will prioritize its development.

Target Background

Function
Cuttlefish spermiogenesis involves a double nuclear protein transition: histones -> spermatid-specific proteins (T1/T2) -> protamines (SP1/SP2). Protamines compact sperm DNA into a condensed, stable, and inactive complex.
Subcellular Location
Nucleus. Chromosome.
Tissue Specificity
Testis.
