Product Specs

Form
Lyophilized powder. We will ship the in-stock format unless you specify a format preference when ordering.
Lead Time
Delivery times vary by purchase method and location. Contact your local distributor for specifics. Proteins are shipped with blue ice packs by default; dry ice shipping is available upon request for an extra fee.
Notes
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Working aliquots are stable at 4°C for up to one week.
Reconstitution
Briefly centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute in sterile deionized water to 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Add 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Default glycerol concentration is 50%.
Shelf Life
Shelf life depends on storage conditions, buffer components, temperature, and protein stability. Liquid form: generally 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. Lyophilized form: generally 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon arrival. Aliquot for multiple uses. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Target Background

Function
Essential for proper embryonic transcriptional regulation. Likely activates RNA polymerase II by phosphorylating its C-terminal domain Ser-2 residues during elongation. Does not phosphorylate histone H3.
Gene References Into Functions
1. TLK-1 aids chromosome condensation/segregation and cytokinesis by localizing AIR-2 to midzone microtubules. (PMID: 20705056) 2. TLK-1 contributes to chromosome segregation as a substrate and regulator of Aurora B kinase AIR-2. (PMID: 15916946)
