Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial briefly before opening to collect the contents. Reconstitute the protein in sterile, deionized water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. For long-term storage, we recommend adding 5-50% glycerol (final concentration) and aliquoting at -20°C/-80°C. Our standard glycerol concentration is 50% and serves as a guideline.

Target Background

Function

F(1)F(0) ATP synthase synthesizes ATP from ADP using a proton or sodium gradient. This enzyme comprises two domains: the F(1) catalytic core (extramembranous) and the F(0) membrane proton channel. These domains are linked by a central and peripheral stalk. ATP synthesis in the F(1) catalytic domain is coupled to proton translocation through a rotary mechanism involving the central stalk subunits.

This protein is a component of the F(0) channel and forms part of the peripheral stalk, connecting F(1) and F(0).
