Function
TRZ1 is a zinc phosphodiesterase that exhibits tRNA 3'-processing endonuclease activity. It plays a crucial role in tRNA maturation by removing the 3'-trailer from precursor tRNA. TRZ1 can utilize bis-(p-nitophenyl) phosphate (bpNPP) as a substrate. Additionally, it is involved in the processing of small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs).
