Function
SAE1B-1 Antibody targets a dimeric enzyme that functions as an E1 ligase for SUMO1 and SUMO2. This enzyme facilitates the ATP-dependent activation of SUMO proteins and the formation of a thioester bond with a conserved cysteine residue on SAE2. Notably, SAE1B-1 is functionally redundant with its paralog SAE1A.
