Target Background

Function
E-selectin is a cell-surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in immunoadhesion. It mediates the adhesion of blood neutrophils to cytokine-activated endothelium through interaction with SELPLG/PSGL1. This interaction is thought to be involved in capillary morphogenesis.

  • BD patients have a lower expression of ICAM-1, VCAM-1, and E-selectin in their tumor tissues.
