Function
This antibody catalyzes the attachment of alanine to tRNA(Ala) in a two-step reaction. First, alanine is activated by ATP to form Ala-AMP. Then, the activated alanine is transferred to the acceptor end of tRNA(Ala). Additionally, the antibody possesses an editing domain that corrects any incorrectly charged tRNA(Ala).
