Function
TESC antibody functions as an essential cofactor in maintaining cell pH balance. It regulates the activity of plasma membrane-type Na(+)/H(+) exchange by controlling the SLC9A1/NHE1 protein. TESC promotes the maturation, transport, cell surface stability, and exchange activity of SLC9A1/NHE1. It plays a crucial role in the differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells into megakaryocytes. TESC is essential for coupling ERK cascade activation with the expression of ETS family genes during megakaryocytic differentiation. It also contributes to granulocytic differentiation in an ERK-dependent manner. Additionally, TESC inhibits the phosphatase activity of calcineurin.
