Function
THO3 Antibody acts as a component of the THO subcomplex within the TREX complex. This complex is believed to play a crucial role in connecting mRNA transcription, processing, and nuclear export. THO3 contributes to the integrity of the endogenous trans-acting small interfering RNA (ta-siRNA) pathway. It may process or transport long RNA molecules, enabling them to serve as templates for secondary siRNA production. THO3 may also participate in the trafficking of siRNA precursors to the ARGONAUTE catalytic center. Importantly, THO3 is essential for the generation of functional messenger ribonucleoproteins (mRNPs).
