Function
Tropomyosin, in conjunction with the troponin complex, plays a crucial role in the calcium-dependent regulation of muscle contraction. It is involved in the organization of muscle actin filaments, as well as muscle arm extension and morphology. Additionally, tropomyosin plays a role in male mating behavior by regulating the copulatory spicules. It binds to F-actin.
