Our research identified TWK-7 as a potential downstream target of the GalphaS-KIN-1/PKA pathway within the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)ergic D-type motor neurons. This epistatic interaction suggests that KIN-1/PKA and TWK-7 might share a common pathway, likely involved in regulating both locomotor activity and locomotion behavior during forward crawling. Our findings indicate that TWK-7 activity may serve as a mechanism to modulate complex locomotion behavior at the level of specific motor neuron types. PMID: 27535928
