Function
The UGGT2 Antibody recognizes glycoproteins with minor folding defects. It reglucosylates single N-glycans near the misfolded region of the protein, acting as a quality control mechanism for protein folding within the endoplasmic reticulum. Reglucosylated proteins are then recognized by calreticulin, facilitating their recycling back to the endoplasmic reticulum for either refolding or degradation.
