XXT5 is a putative xyloglucan xylosyltransferase involved in root xyloglucan biosynthesis. It likely functions in concert with XXT1 and XXT2, associating with other xyloglucan-synthesizing enzymes to form multiprotein complexes within the Golgi apparatus for efficient xyloglucan synthesis.
